Maxwell Lake

I had a busy summer filled with new fatherhood, BUT I did go on one trip to the Wallowas. Our initial plan was rained out, so we hiked to Maxwell Lake instead.

We camped between Maxwell and the small pond nearby.

We had lots of views toward Hurricane Divide. On the ridge to the left, in the trees, you can just see the trail the Francis Lake. I’ve never been. It’s a big climb.

Maxwell Lake has a small island with trees in plain view right where the main trail meets the water.
